This coffee is grown by Producer David Lopez at his Los Amigos farm in the agricultural region of El Socorro Honduras. While attending college for a degree in Agriculture and working part-time at a local mill, David inherited his father's coffee farm. After graduating college last year David decided to give his full attention to this farm and that decision paid off. After lots of hard work David was able to export two full containers of excellent coffee and we couldn't be happier.
This single varietal Catuai coffee in a traditionally washed process showcases the experience David has with growing and processing quality coffee. Once roasted, the sugar contents in the Catuai varietal show a complex caramelization that is like the savory and sweet uniqueness of maple syrup. These coffee trees are shade grown with the cedars of the Los Amigos farm.
